Texting issue. Can't receive messages

I have an iPhone and a g2. I like to bounce back and forth between the two platforms. I tried to use my g2 last night and I wasn't receiving any messages from my wife. Who also has an iPhone. It seemed that other non iPhone messages were coming in though.
I turned iMessage off on my iPhone before deactivating it. Logged out of my iCloud account and turned off find my iPhone. Also completed a factory reset on the g2.

On her end I toggled iMessage on and off. Then back on. Deleted my message thread and started a new one. Still nothing. She was receiving my messages but I wasn't receiving any of hers. So I had to go back to my iPhone for now.

I tried several Google searches that led me to attempt what I had just explained. Am I missing something? Help me out. I need my Android fix

try asking her to delete you as a contact and then manually re-add you. LMK if that fixes it.

I'm sure that'll work. I did deactivate iMessage before activating the SIM card for the g2 but in didn't send any messages beforehand. Thanks again

Ok. I got everything to work. But I'm still not receiving any messages from my wife. Every other iPhone user I know...I will receive messages from. Not her.
