Textra app not sending picture texts

I recently downloaded the Textra messaging app and I've noticed that my picture texts aren't sending through. Anyone else using Textra having this issue by chance? If not what can I do to resolve this issue. Is Textra known for not being able to send picture texts? I've never used Textra before but had heard it was a good messaging app. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

My wife and I have used textra for several years without issue. The only thing I could advise is to check your texts settings under mms and see what the carrier limit is set as. Mine is 1000kb

I've only had problems with textra if I try to send to many pics at once or the pictures are too big.

Thanks guys. I'll check settings. I couldn't send a picture the other night and I tried several times. It simply would not go through. I'll check my settings.

Now I'm having an issue where I'm not getting texts from one particular contact. I thought she was ignoring me, but the texts are coming through the regular app that I stopped the notifications for and not textra. It's weird because she's not an Eyephone user. She has a s7.

My issue with Textra is that people were not even getting my texts. My solution is that I went back to the Samsung texting app.

Yeah I went back to the stock messaging app and it fixed my issues. Not sure what was going on with Textra and the S8. Textra is typically a good app.

You may need to go into the advanced settings and enter the correct values for your carrier. You can Google the settings, and it's similar to this

Also when you go into Textra settings, it usually defaults to the MMS Behavior of System. Try Legacy if System isn't working.

If still having issues, turn Debug on and send a few pictures and then send a note to the developers with the debug log attached. The developer is always extremely responsive and helpful.

No issues here. I always use Textra and it works well.

I did 2 things to get my photos to send: my Google fi service cannot send mms (photos) via WiFi. Under settings, mms I turned off 'prefer wifi'. In addition I checked 'no limit' to size of mms.

I'm having the same problem. I'm visiting Mexico and while Textra (an app I adore!) was working initially now it won't send messages at all. I'm grateful to those above and will try to find my way down the Rocky road of their suggestions and report back (I'm 71, such a challenge!) Thanks for the care!
