Textra LED notifications

I like the stock text messaging app but it's kinda slow, so been using Textra which is my favorite SMS app. Problem is, even though LED blinking is enabled under Textra's settings, when I receive a new text/mms message the LED is not blinking. At all. I seriously watched it for probably 2 minutes just looking for it to do something and just... nothing.

Anybody figure out how to get this working? Does it work on other SMS apps?

It blinks Green on KiK for me.

Seems like with my g2 and g3 it took a while to iron out at first.
Did you reboot after setting?

Mine works. Orange looks more yellow ti to me but that's another story

I figured it out. You have to go to Settings > Sounds & notifications > LED notifications > Enable for downloaded apps

Mine was disabled out of the box I suppose.

I don't ' 'have 'LED notifications > Enable for downloaded apps' under my overall settings menu. Just LED on or off. I am on VZ. Where are you seeing this? Mine is set to on. In Textra I have the box checked for a red LED. Not sure if my light is working.

You can press the LED notifications option in Settings and it should bring up another window. If you press the right side it just toggles it on/off overall. I hope this is the case for the VZW models. I'm on Tmo.

I'm in Verizon you should have it. Settings> sounds and notification> then turn it on. Also if you touch notification light you'll get a menu. Select which ones you want led light for.

Thanks for the help. I thought that was line was just an off/on icon. All of my options were checked so I should be good.
Just came over from a BB Z10 so I've got a few things to learn on Android yet. For the most part it has been an easy transition.
