Textra or default msg app?

I using the stock messaging app, Cus I’m afraid it will interfere with the tmobile enhanced texting feature?

T-Mobiles advanced messaging only works with other TMobile phones that are set up with it. Since TMobile is a minority in my area it's not worth it.
Besides, I have tried using some of the advanced featured and have no idea what is supposed to be different.

Textra is horrible with MMS. Sometimes it takes forever to send it.
I used Pulse Messaging. It's kinda like Textra except the MMS works

I like pulse, but I dislike how the messages are separate in days. Is there a work around for that?

I love the customisation allowed using textra however it will send notifications to gear s3 but not the actual message. Samsung messages sends the whole message to read on watch. On the other hand, Samsung messages does not have gifs to choose from, nor can I see a long text without going to the second screen in the app. Bottom line, I want to be able to read my messages on watch during the day (at work) so use Samsung messages & rest of time I use textra.

Yes, most of my close friends are on tmobile, it seems to work for some, but a few have some issues. Not sure why. I just use fb messenger for cross platform devices messenger.

Once again messages is not listed on my list for notifications for my Samsung Galaxy Gear s3

Sorry, I couldn't see your listing (too small). That's weird that the stock message app doesn't show up on your list! Try toggleling the 'ALL APPS' switch and see it it shows up. Then you can deselect the ones you don't want notification for.

Hit the plus (+) next to the text box and you will get the options of emoji, camera, picture, gifs..

Here's a screen shot. The bottom of the emojis you can see the icons for emoji, camera, picture event, contact and gifs.

I'm not sure what would be different.

On a side note, there were times when I wasn't receiving texts on Textra (but received in stock messaging app) and had my MMS Behavior Setting changed to "Legacy" (like it was on my S7E) but have found that changing that setting back to "System" solved the problem. This is for T-Mobile

Now that I got the frontier s3 watch, can't use the texters, have to go back to stock messenging app.

For anyone interested, Textra will support Live Messages with the next release (3.42)!

Got the beta version for 3.4.2 and Live Messages is now working and resizing the gif successfully. I have sent several, all various sizes (one was 7.2MB) and they have all delivered successfully!
