Textra or default msg app?

Edit. Never mind, the latest update today fixed it.

I had Textra for a while but it got glitchy so I went back to the stock app. I tried the new updated Textra today and it refused to send a photo that the stock one then sent without a problem. Don't know what gives. The stock one still doesn't give sound notifications when someone replies to me. It gives sound notifications when I get a new text and for delivery reports, but not if it's a conversation and someone is replying to me. Go figure. It's not a deal breaker. I usually have the phone beside me and check it often. But it is annoying. but not as annoying as Textra buzzing me three times to tell me the third time
I tried to send the same picture had also failed. Not even a big picture.

Today I bought a Gear 3 Frontier. With that, I had to give up Textra, and revert to the default messaging app.
The Gear 3 only supports the default text messaging app...

I have the frontier gear 3 and textra absolutely does work. I get all my texts on the watch

Using default and no issues with it.

I used Textra when I had my Nexus 4 and LG G2 and G3 because I had issues with the stock apps like texts not being received on time/delayed. I think Textra's probably the best 3rd party text app but I'm tired of the flat Material Design look and not missing any extra features Textra may have.

I used Textra on N5, N7, S7E and now N8. Works very well and I like it for being so customizable. I had a problem with MMS that would not go through. The trick was to limit the file size in settings even though my carrier does not have a limit and it now delivers MMS messages with no problems.

What file size did u narrow it down to & which carrier are you on?
