Texts are coming in out of order

Every once and awhile when I get texts they come in fine, but then they start getting sent out of order then I have to scroll through them to find what was just sent. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it? Thanks

Are they coming in at a different time? Like UTC? That happens to me when I'm roaming.

I had this problem until I switched to Handcent SMS app. I was having a problem where I would send a text then the received text would come in and say it was received like three hours before I actually got it.

Mine was doing this until I switched my time to network time. Since then they seem to stay in the proper order.

This is what mine is doing I will get a text say at 4pm, but my phone says it was recieved at 2am and puts it at the top where 2am would be. I dont get it and my husbands does the same thing. I am new to the fourns and dont know the lingo and out phones are I guess you can say stock. What is UTC? And what is handcent SMS:-\ LOL

Ok I found the handcent app and installed it. We will see how that goes Thanks for the tip.

Had the same thing happen to me and I saw another thread about deleting the cache for the messaging app in "applications" then "settings" and that fixed it for my stock messaging app.

Hmm when someone mentioned the network time thing it made sense...I have been changing the times on my phone frequently to play Candy Crush and that's when I started noticing the texts out of order issue!! OOPS!!:-[

I feel like this happens to me mostly after I have sent or recieved picture messages though.. anyone else experienceing this?
