I enjoyed close to two years with my Droid RAZR Maxx. It finally became so laggy and inconsistent that I had to head to the store yesterday to pick up my next toy. I bought the LG G2 retail. I must say ... I've only had the G2 for 24 hours ... but it is incredible! You hear a ton about Samsung, HTC and even Motorola (my last two phones ... X and Razr Maxx), but I am extremely impressed with the G2. It might not be polished software wise like HTC or Moto (not even going to talk about the laggy Sammy software), but the hardware alone (plus an addition of NOVA Prime) is amazing. What sold me ...

1. Comparable Battery Life to the Maxx.
2. Top of the Line hardware (should last a year or two). ZERO lag.
3. Notifications Menu. LG allows you to get to almost all of your settings extremely quick.
4. IR Blaster. I can run my entire living room from my phone now. LG TV, Pioneer Stereo, Panasonic Blu-Ray and Roku (Roku app) from my phone. Love it! And when on, the "Quick Remote" stays in the notification bar for quick access.

I could go on ... but it was time to retire the Maxx. Thanks for the memories and will miss reading this section of the forums. Happy Droiding!

My maxx is still perfection. I'm due an upgrade in Jan but I can't see me changing from this phone yet

Check out the screen of the LG G2. I could not resist the temptation :-)

Sorry to see you go, but I can relate--my Maxx still works decently, but after experiencing the lightning fast 2013 Nexus 7, I am ready for a lightning fast phone. Unfortunately, I have to wait until March to upgrade!

Just exchanged my wonky touch-screened Nexus 7 and it's replacement is lightning fast with no issues. Very quick indeed.

Can't wait to dump this laggy piece of junk and say goodbye to Motorola.

Think I'll take mine out to the range for some target practice when the time comes.

I will only be upgrading to the DROID MAXX come next year and I plan on going to the edge program.
