It's refreshing to join an Android forum that doesn't have the usual pack of wolves waiting to pounce on iPhone users. I've preordered the EVO and look forward to evaluating it.

It's just nice to be in a forum where there aren't several threads bashing iPhone owners or at the very least painting us all with a broad brush (Phandroid, cough. cough...).

in my experience iPhone users are the most bashful (present 3gs user as well). what made you choose the evo over the incredible?

I agree. It gets very tiresome reading posts in other forums bashing on carriers and other OS's.

We get a little but of carrier bashing and other phone bashing. But, not much. And usually it's pretty good natured teasing more than anything else.

This is something I hate more than anything on forums. Who is to say their phone is better than another and the same goes for carriers as well. It is completely relative to the individual. When I see it here or at TiPb I try to squash it as it leads to nothing more than mindless banter.

its the internet attitude more than anything. you can stack different phones up against each other stats wise, but at the end of the day it all comes down to personal opinion. what works for me may not work for someone else, however even as an iPhone user since day 1, a lot of the "crowd" is annoying as anything i've ever been around.

I think this site has such a tolerating community because people move between TiPb, here, preCentral, CrackBerry, etc quite often so that dampens the rampent fanboyism. Plus, did you really expect phandroid's forums to be non biased? They are basically an Android fannboy blog lol.

I 100% agree with this!! I used to go to Crackberry.com quite frequently and some of the members there would jump down your throat if you even said you liked your device over an other. The carrier forums were the worst though.

I went to the Sprint section quite a bit since I have Sprint and if there was a post there asking how Sprint was, there would be people that have never even used Sprint saying they were horrible. I'm not saying Sprint is the overall best because it really does depend on where you are and what you need. The same can be said with cell phones.

I would always post saying it really depends on what you want in a phone. I think the iPhone is great but it's just not for me.
