I would like to give a big thanks to the people who have answered my questions and solved the problems in rooting my Evo in this thread.

You guys bared my dumb questions and got me thru it as it didn't seem like it was a normal process-- but what the hell do I know.

I have graduated from a newbie to someone who may be dangerous.

KSmith is a rock star.

It's a pain in the beginning, but the Evo (most android devices) has a lot of similarities to what you'd think of a regular PC computer. Once you get used to what the different partitions do and how the phone boots up you'll get more used to it and understand what it is actually that's happening. It's a great fun journey though and kudos to you for sticking with it, now the fun begins!
