That update for 720p recording and the "droid" boot screen never came right?

I remember seeing something before I got mine about an update for the DINC to have 720p recording as well as adding the "droid" boot screen. that never actually happened right? I didn't think it did but Engadget's post about Froyo for the DINC mentions this update like it had happened. All I know is I can't record in 720p and no drooooooid on my boot sequence

From my understanding, there was supposed to be an update but htc/Verizon decided to wait and roll it into the FroYo update instead so they'd only have to push one OTA instead of two.

Personally, the 720p MPEG4 video is as crummy as on the Evo. WVGA with H.264 is my personal choice

Which is what is coming. The 2.15 radio and Froyo brought rooted users 720p Mpeg4, H.263, and h.264. To everyone else you are in a group with him.

The Leaked OTA is available for non-rooters if that scares you. But honestly Unrevoked has made rooting so simple compared to when I first had to do the SD-card shuffle. LOL...
