I posted just about a week and a half ago about an AT&T update and now here is another. This time it's the November security updates.

From the AT&T site:

Release date: November 18, 2016
Android version: 6.0.1
Security patch level (SPL): November 1, 2016
Baseband version: G930AUCS4APK1
Kernel version: 3.18.20-9439621
Build number: MMB29M.G930AUCS4APK1
File size: 49MB

The updates
What's new: Android device security updates

after this update my galaxy s7 restarted and now it's asking me to "enter password to decrypt the device storage". The problem is that I never encrypted the device to begin with since it comes encrypted directly from Samsung. I researched this message and it seems to be around since at least 2013 and it is not exclusive to Samsung.
Does anyone have a fix that doesn't involve doing a factory reset?
