I've never tried Death Wish. Whenever I have money to spend on expensive coffee I like to go with Bones Coffee

I've not tried Bones. Will have to look it up sometime.

So last month, through Chase I got a new Starbucks prepaid Visa debit card. It connects to my Starbucks account and I get a "Star" for every ten dollars spent - on anything. So I earned a free coffee this week just for paying for gas, groceries, etc.
Spent the freebie on a cold brew with sweet cream.

Awesome card setup, and that looks like a really good drink! Is that a "vanilla cream" abbreviation?

Just lost my mind and bought a Technivorm Moccamaster. I can't wait to find out how bad my stupid stinking Keurig brewer is. More to come this weekend. And I may just find out that I can't really tell the difference between a good cup of Joe and a cup of any crap whatever.

My pricey new Technivorm Moccamaster (stock online image cuz my kitchen is a poorly lit mess).



Considering the $200-$300+ price tags on these things, I sure wouldn't try to convince anyone to buy one, but as long as you like a strong brew, duh-hamn! can they make a good pot of joe! More convenient than a French press (or other manual pour-over models) and more consistent, too, since the water temperature and brew time are tightly controlled.

Mind you, I doubt I would've bought one if I didn't already own a burr grinder, but I'm glad I did. I just wish I had a backyard so I could recycle the grounds.
