The Ad on the Bottom of the AC Home Page

I know you guys need to keep a revenue stream so I don't mind ads on the site. However this is more like an intrusion than a simple ad. For me it's a Best Buy Ad that takes up the bottom the screen and stays there as you travel down. I thought I could get by with just closing it, but 50% of the time I can't hit the X and instead get a new tab to something I never wanted. I'm not sure if this is annoying others as much as it is me. At home I could install Ad Block or something, but at work I don't have that option. I've used you guys for 2 years now for all my Android news, and PreCentral before that. While I'm not looking forward to it I may have to find a new site with a less annoying ad structure.

This bugging anyone else recently?

Definitely bothers me, as well. I hate those kinds of ads, and this is a huge one (particularly at my work computer, and yes, it is my lunch time to be reading AC).

It is annoying to say the least. Makes it difficult to navigate when the ad banner blocks what you are trying to access.

I am giving these obnoxious home page ads some time, and if the administrators don't make them go away I will be moving to another forum.

I don't mind the ad as long as it can be closed but on the best buy one when you click the X it doesn't always close, sometimes it takes 3 times and the first two open new tabs/windows.
