Listen, if you do as I said earlier, you can get into the phone's recovery mode. If you have a nandroid, you can restore it there. If not, sbf and don't make that mistake again

you had it backwards, its x then magnifying glass and that only takes him to the stock recovery, some how he doesnt have a cwr...and says he cant sbf for some reason I dont know :/

Lil. Crap, you're right. He probably has cwr but if you bootloop or have a bad install, you're not going to be able to access it and if you have the galnet miui, you can't use cwr anyway... We have to do the volume trick to get into the defy recovery, since it's a port of the defy build.

Yeah I figured that out when I tried to use the bootstrapper to boot into recovery and it just rebooted on me lol...the boot menu is pretty sweet tho

I don't quite like having to watch for the blue led and having to do extra steps to get into recovery, but I think the devs will get that sorted at some point.

ok thanks guys but i have given the phone back to my friend and asked him to warranty it but i asked if it has water damage insurance and if it did to drop the phone in waterand send it in so they wont see the miui rom ! i hope it works!

Seems like a lot of trouble, when you could just sbf it and have your phone back in 20 minutes. If you need the files and 'how to', I can upload to my dropbox for ya.

ok if thats the case please explain to me how i can sbf with out putting the pohne in bootloader or flash back w/ out a custom recovery ! because ive done all to my know how ! so yea upload them and let me check them out !

Ya know, I just saw you have a D2 and not a D2G... sorry, I thought you had the D2G for some reason, so that's the sbf files that I have.
However, you can get the files for the D2 here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/droid-2-rooting-roms-hacks/75388-how-sbf-back-stock.html There are also instructions on the process there.

lol yea but the problem is i cannot get in to bootloader mode in any way do to sbf back is not possible !

I followed the instructions in the link I posted and never had to get into the bootloader when I SBF'd so I dont know why your having problems :/
