My previous mobile Blackberry Dtek50 was my first Android OS mobile. This LG-G6 is the second. They all seem to change the OS to suit their purposes.

Though this LG has more features than the previous. Never too old to learn..!

Hi there,

All of the Android OEMs have their own skins and launchers, with the exception of stock Android on the Google Pixel and Nexus devices, and the Moto devices.

I'm using an LG V20 now, after having Moto devices for the past 2 ½ years.

However, I never used the stock launchers or icons even on my stock Android devices (which still include a Nexus 7 tablet). I've been using Nova Launcher Prime and Lines icons on all my Android devices.

If you don't care for LG icons or the LG launcher, you may want to try Nova, or another launcher in Play Store.

Welcome aboard!☺
As @Laura Knotek says, Android's easy customisation comes to the rescue if you don't like this or that feature about a device. :)

Hey @joe2pike :D Welcome To AndroidCentral.

Thats the great thing about Android. There is always something new to learn as the OS changes with each version that gets released.
Awesome to see you picked up a DTEK50. What made you choose it over other smartphones?

See you around the forums.
