I've had my S8+ for 4 days now and everything's been great. Today I got this notification and the worry sets in. Will this update f@#! up my perfect experience?!

I for one don't trust Updates anymore. If your performance has been great without any issues, don't update?

I usually hold off until there is some evidence as to the effectiveness of said update. It seems more often than not that the updates diminish battery life, which has so far been great on my S8+. I've held off for now but that notification keeps picking at me....

So far I notice app counters eg badges went from white with blue to the normal redish orange circle

I did hear the AOD display moves now so less chance of permanent screen burn in, whereas before the update it was static?
But also part of the update is to disable remapping of the Bixby button.

On Google Play Store most 3rd party apps specify what an update is about (if it's added a new language I'll pass, if it adds an essential feature, such as ability to Undo an Action, or fixes a bug then sure. But arrogant apps like Facebook updating itself by the week with just "improves stability and performance" well hell, no!)

It moved on mine before I updated

I updated my s7 edge, and every time I try to open my camera it says warning:cannot open camera and closes it. I then opened Snapchat to try and use my camera and it (the rear side) was all distorted and hard to view. Not sure how to fix this...

I installed it last night. It did also update the security patch level to April 1, 2017. Per T-Mobile's site it looks like there will be 2 updates. I currently have Baseband version: G955USQU1AQD9 which is just bug fixes (update 1), but the launch software is also coming (update 2).

I installed last night and no issues so far. And, face recognition does seem to be improved. It worked about 80% of the time before the update (with most difficulty in darker rooms), haven't had a failure since the update, even in darker lighting.
