I just got the Droid 2 a few days ago, switching from a BlackBerry Storm 9530. Instead of putting in the new SD card, I just installed the old one from my BlackBerry.

I looked through the pictures today, trying to find a certain one to use as my wallpaper, but it was gone, along with about half of the others I had. Not many of them were backed up on my computer.

What would cause this to happen? Is there any way to get them back? I think all of my music is still on it though.

Glitch in the system the pics may be corrupt who knows what were you using to see them the gallery or files

Gallery. When I couldn't find them there, I connected to a computer, and they weren't there either. Then I looked with root explorer.

Yeah their gone that's a. Crazy issue I haven't seen it and wonder why it happened. If you have more pics from your blackberry try and put those on to see if they get wiped. I haven't seen the issue but I feel for you know it has to suck

Sorry it sounds like you probably lost some of those pics for good. What I would personally do, is back up whatever data is left on the SD card and format it using your D2. I've noticed in the past that BB leaves all sort of proprietary files on SD cards that had been used in their phones, that interfere with other operating systems. Formatting the card might prevent the loss of any further data.
