The edge screen on the Note 8

How is the edge screen on the Note 8 compared to the S8 +. I am considering upgrading in 2-3 months but do use the edge screen a lot and am wondering how it compares. Looking at the Note 8 the phone is amazing looking.

The Edge on the Note8 is less prominent and is a lot steeper and less pronounced, Samsung wanted to give the Note a flatter display for the SPen. Funnily enough I find the Edge on the Note8 easier to swipe from vs. S8+ and S7 Edge.

Agreed- for some reason easier to swipe on the Note...that being said I feel like I don't swipe it by accident on the Note as well. I feel like it's just easier to use on the note.

I think the Edge on the S8/8+ and previous Edge devices was too large and in fact took up so much space on the display that you'd often find yourself pulling out Edge Panels by mistake, it often happened to me with the S7 Edge, yet never happens with Note8.

I traded an S8+ for a Note 8. I use the edge screen frequently and didn't notice a difference between the two phones.

note 8 edge is much better than s7 edge and s8 s8+...I too stayed away for s8 series coz of edge screen...but when I held the note 8...loved it....the curve is very minimal

I really have no experience with other edge devices, but with the N8, you can adjust the size and position of the edge panel pullout handle on the screen. You can even change its color and how far it protrudes from the edge.

So with the N8 there is little chance you will accidentally open the edge panel.

All the Edge devices have this, going back to Note Edge I beleive.

Or make it completely invisible (just remember where you put it, lol!). I don't know if that was available on the N7, didn't have it long enough. All my other Notes were non-edge.

I resized it to just slightly bigger than the power button and set it 100% transparent so you don't even know it is there
