It's a crying shame about the Galaxy Note 7. Not just for its own sake, but for the detrimental impact it's had on the new S8.
The battery capacities are very conservative and relative to the screen sizes, they are smaller thank the S7 phones.
Samsung had a choice. Either provide a larger capacity battery but increase the phone's thickness. Or keep the phone slim and to avoid a repeat of the Note 7, play it safe and provide very modest capacity.
I would have preferred the phone to be thicker. I've said before that the terrible location and small sensor size of the fingerprint reader is a deal breaker for me. But if the S8 had say a 3500 mah battery and the S8 plus had a 4000 mah battery, I could have overlooked the fingerprint scanner.
Such a shame the Note 7 has negatively impacted the S8.
