The Google girl won't answer my question

But I get a typed answer. She used to talk, but now she has stopped. Is it a phone problem or a Google problem. Cheers.

Are you sure the volume is turned up? In the Assistant Settings (Go to your Google Settings, Assistant Tab, select PHONE under Assistant Devices), is Speech Output set to ON?

Are you saying "Hey Google," or are you accessing Google Assistant by typing a question?

Also, have you checked Google Assistant's settings to make sure it's set to speak responses? And make sure Do Not Disturb isn't turned on.

I had the same problem and also tried disabling google, deleting data, removing latest install, etc. Then I finally turned off all the voice access for Bixby (turned off everything I could for bixby), restarted (again) then it started speaking.
