News The green line of death keeps killing displays and no one is telling us why

"this flaw can sometimes remain dominant until a software change or flaw triggers it" I think you meant dormant.

While I have never experienced this serious issue, and I agree with the need for much better quality control, the fact remains that the standard one year manufacturers warranty is the "real" issue here! Now for a bottom shelf phone a year is sufficient...mid-range phone should get AT LEAST 2 years or maybe even 3...and a 1000 dollar or more flagship should get at least 4 years and possibly 5!
Having to buy an extended type warranty might be warranted for those who want to keep their current phone for a long time, but this should NOT be necessary!
Hey OEM's here's a BETTER way to sell more phones...stop promising 7 years of updates that you KNOW very few people will ever take advantage of...but instead offer a real solid warranty and watch your sales go much higher...and make it a transferable warranty!

I stopped reading once I hit this part. There is absolutely no reason anyone should be using this ableist slur.

It went away when he restarted the phone immediately, but soon came back and started spazzing out...
