The HTC M9 beat the S6 in daylight with the new Camera

The problem with this as I stated in the XDA thread is we don't have a DSLR camera reference for what the actual colour of the building is. Second, I still haven't seen any pictures with respect to improvement in low light processing. Third, they don't have OIS but they do have EIS and so does the iPhone 6 so it is possible through software to improve the video "Blairwitching" that occurs. I don't think HTC is up to that task though. That said, I look forward to any improvements coming.
This is never mentioned when comparing photos. How can we possibly know the ability to recreate an image of we cant see the original. All comparisons never mention this and just say out of the pics shown this one did it the best see.

I remember up until a few years ago when reviewers did smartphone camera shootouts, at least a decent point and shoot was used for reference. Recently though, reviewers don't seem to bother.

No we will never get DSLR quality out of a smartphone. Not even the S6 will come close to that. But we do have a good update coming that puts us on par with the others. Performance is already top notch, an improved camera will just round it out. The ability to adjust the screen colors will also be nice when we get that.
Never say never, lol. Back when a "cell-phone" was just that until we could choose between a Nokia 6010 or Motorola Razr, millions of both still in use tho I think I bought the "possibly, one and only Slvr, LoL", just prior a little over three cc's or so thick but smaller l x w (someone help with a name, please) because what we called most was usually "Damnit (what signal) or Lost Damnit". Now, almost every other "New" mobile out has a much better cam, touch-screen, half or whole inch larger, battery, O.S. virgin even though other than one handset running Verizon's Droid O.S. put one of if not the oldest Wireless Communication besides grunting out of business, none of the Big Three have changed since their first release, Android being the first, oldest but receiving the most improvements and they come from us, LoL. Win 7/8+ is just Win CE and we've been running it since MS Partners in testing when after putting a fully loaded Linux w/gui on X, of course, on first a 1.44mb then 768lb floppy's til one night pwr. dropped just long enuff to fubar a bios flash at work sitting there pissed looking left at various ic chips, right at the writer couple of times after a couple new bios' were done noticed lotsa room left so a few decommissioned P166-200Mb laptops = EeePCs at our V.I.P clients n guests in 1999. Yeah, so I tend to ramble, I'm sure it meant something when I started tho, lol. Peace.
*ROCK* d.b.a. Joe, LoL.
