The KEYone may have an issue with popping displays after small drops

You don't have to bend it to force it to come out.

Even a small drop can do the same.

That needs to be addressed.

And it's definitely TCL, since they make the actual phone.

I had a big drop with mine on asphalt. Everything is good. So I can report that the phone is tough. I just read someone cracking there s8 putting it in they're virtual reality viewer. You will always get that post when a phone is launched. Don't let Internet static get in the way.

But statistically the KEYone failing is much more significant. TCL hasn't sold many of these phones ("thousands" as they put it) and there are at least 9 failure reports already.

but the individuals buying a blackberry are much much more likely to be on a forum. Hard to figure any statistics out off of blog and forum post.

Fair enough, but those would be fairly easy to spot, if someone purposefully tried to pry it out or something. Besides I'm sure they won't be sending brand new units, they'll be refurbished and the returned unit will just get a new screen or adhesive and return to the refurbished pool.

I'm fairly sure if your brand new phone was defective, they wouldn't replace with a refurb

Store level probably, but don't be so sure about support centres. I've been sent a "new" device (rep insists it's new) with a serial number much older than mine.
