I am a father and a step father. I'm lucky because my step daughter has no real memories of her bio because he is a dead beat scum bag who ditched her and ditched out on the past 14 years of child support.. She remembers a few rejections as a 4 year old,, him not ever showing up and one time he did she screamed and cried to go back to her mom because she was not comfortable with him. Dirt bag. I stepped in 2 years later and basically the only dad she ever knew.
