Android Central Question

Hi, I just got the new Galaxy Note 8 and for some reason I keep getting a spamm message constantly on my lower screen saying "The label may be removed" any ideas how can I stop this?

Congrats on your new note8. Sadly that's a new one for me lol. So hopefully someone can help you here.

is it on the lock screen or home screen?
probably an app causing it

It doesn't happen on the lock screen, however on home screen and most of the apps it does, I think it could be one of the apps that was allready installed from the factory, the question is which one.

That's the million dollar question, which app is causing this? Unfortunately, it's usually a pain in the arse to find said app, it sucks.

I just spent a few minutes searching for this and the only hit was this thread. Being that the phone is new, I have one wild (very, wild) idea. Have you removed the plastic film that covers the screen and the camera area? With the prox sensors on this phone, it may actually be telling you to remove the label. Although I doubt this is the case, it can't hurt to ask.

Back to reality, since the phone is new, I would do a factor reset. It is a PITA and dreaded by everyone, but for the amount of time it takes to troubleshoot a message from an unknown app, it would probably get you up and running quicker. I have had several Android Phones and I have had at least a couple that didn't work exactly right out of the box and a factory reset set them straight.

Anyway, let us know what the issue was.

I used my N8 with the film on front and back from day one until I got my case and protector. I never got this message. if it were me, I'd do a FR since you have no idea of the origin and no one else has had this issue that we've heard.

Alright,
Enjoy, and I know the note 8 feels so go in the hands.
Congrats
Can't help with the issue, but love it when someone cracks open the note 8 for the first time.
