The latest Z2 update

I'm facing a problem to update my xperia Z2 to the latest firmware announced today by Sony. Its appearing in the update center with a note computer required. I connected my device to my mac and started the update process from sony bridge.
It started with downloading the update agent then its starts the update agent or intialize it... My Z2 power off automatically and the application says update failed no update found.

Is anybody else facing this??

Yes. Exact same thing on my pc.

Edit: Now my pc companion won't even recognize my device.

Restart the companion app and u might need also to restart ur device

It's recognizing it. Now it gets to downloading software, at 2%, then says download error. It says check my internet, even though it works fine and I am pulling down 46Mbps. Sony is disappointing these days. I don't like having to use pc software to begin with.

What providers are you with? I haven't seen the update yet.

Mine updated perfectly. But i prefer the old ui than 4.4.4

Finally i updated mine through my PC at work... I kinda like it so far and i didn't feel any lagging in its functionality so far

PC companion still won't get past 2% when downloading the update for me. If there was actually anyone out there that wanted an xperia, and I'm starting to understand why there isn't, I would sell this.

I had the same problem since last night. Just checked again, and it finally passed 2%. I am excited.

Finally worked. I hate having to use computer software though. I guess an ota could take even longer but I feel sorry for people with no computer.

I was hoping that Sony will update screen mirroring with this build.My Z2 still cant mirror all content on Philips smart tv...

Try the 'all cast' app by Koush
I haven't tested it specifically with your tv but it works well with most smart tv's and chromecast
