It started rolling out to unlocked devices today. When will we get it on our unlocked M9's??
I've read where we are getting the 64 bit version close to the A9 software. That's fine, but I don't want to lose my music player and have to use Google Play Music. I prefer the tweeks of our current music program since I have 56 GB and 6500 songs on my sd card..

Simple answer. Way more M8 out in the wild than M9 so keep the bigger herd happy first.

GPE M8 already got it a month or so ago. As for right now it's just the Developer/Unlocked M8 thats getting it since it doesn't need additional certification. All other carrier branded M8's will have to wait until those companies decide to release it.

The M9 Developer/Unlocked Model hasn't yet received MM since it still waiting on final certification like bluetooth/FCC etc etc. The M8 just got done with those agencies alot faster then the M9.

It wasn't a matter of HTC caring more for the M8 user base it's just one device getting through those third party agencies approval process a lot quicker. The M9 is close behind and should have it within a few days.

I know there are a bunch of versions out there for both devices but the M8 carrier version will be out before the M9. Versi from HTC pretty much said as much via twitter.

An HTC spokesperson tweeted yesterday that 6.0.1 would be out for the M9 (unlocked version) by the end of the year ! Coming soon. Hopefully an 0.1 version means that the battery is optimized even more, and the bugs are squashed.

The month is winding down- Come On HTC give us the toasted Marshmallows (6.0 ) !!!

The M8 is already getting it 6.0 from carriers in Canada since Dec.18th. The M9 has a January 21st ETA. So this is playing out just as I said it would.

Unlocked M9's were to receive the 6.0 update "before then end of the quarter"(2015). The carrier brands will get it in Jan /16...

Here in the U.S., for AT&T, both the M8 and M9 are in the 3 - certification stage. I anticipate that means the update will be released for both on the same time frame and if no major issues are found, it shouldn't be too far away.

Where are you tracking this from?

I would like to know why the developer edition is still in stage one. Might just have to RUU to a different base.
