Coming from a Fold 3 and Fold 4 i haven't seen any durability issue and now with Pixel Fold in my mix . You definitely have to take better care of them , they are not standard slab phones that can take more punishment. I have my One Plus 7 T pro McLaren with pop up camera and they said same for moving parts on that and i have no issues to this date .

The Z Flip 5 has severe durability issues, perhaps related to the new hinge or maybe just decreased quality of the build in general. Check the reviews at the Samsung site. Lots of people finding that the screens stop working after just a few months of use. Adding to the pain, Samsung is making it very difficult and costly to get their defective phones fixed, even when covered by warranty and/or insurance.

I would argue that even more important than durability is the customer service when something goes wrong. The "big 3" (Google, OnePlus, Samsung) have a terrible track record handling warranty claims for foldables. Here's one example.
