The Moto Droid 3 - what features do you want on it?

I made some alterations to my previous list that result in a more future proof device that everyone wouldn't be able to debate is the best of the best.

the Droid 3 should include:
Hardware Improvements
Software Improvements
* Form FactorMaintain current size, but change the form factor [Same qwerty keyboard]. It should not have a Chin. Relocate the haptics down a little bit to accomodate for a 4" screen
* sLCD that extends closer to the edge of the device (less black space)
* No screen spacing removal of all space between LCD and gorilla glass
* QHD display (960 x 540) 24Bit color 12:1 sub pixel ratio
* 5MP Front facing camera (greatly improved optics and software, similar to the Xperia ARC) ARC camera demonstration
* 8MP rear facing camera (same optics improvements mentioned before) one of moto's current failures
* LTE radio
* Simultaneous Voice and Data
* Pentaband radio for a world edition simultaneous release
* Tegra 2 Processor (2x 1GHz processors)
* Dual Channel
* 1800 mah battery
* DLNA
* USB 3.0 support
* Bluetooth 3.0 Support
* Gyroscope
* DDR2 support or greater
* 1GB of RAM
* Fingerprint recognition
* 3 Microphones similar to the Droid X
* Ear piece speaker grill similar to the HTC Droid Incredible to prevent dust build-up under the screen
* FM Radio i'll never use it, but what the heck "Droid does"
* Multiple Upgrade route (Polished Blur [slow] vs Vanilla Android with working parts [faster] on demand swappable)
* NFC chip
* HDMI out
* 16GB on board memory
* Corning Gorilla Glass
* Easy access micro SD card (dont have to remove the battery)
* Android 3.X Ice Cream Sandwich
* Wifi direct
* Better iteration of Blur (deal with it guys, stock isnt an option anymore)
* 4G mobile hotspot
* Webtop compatibility
* Unlockable Bootloader
* 64GB micro SD support 8GB pre-installed

Could there be anymore in one device?

^^This, a million times this. I just don't understand why we haven't seen any new phones being announced that have these higher specs and a physical slide keyboard. That is all I want in the world.

This is exactly how I feel. Get out of my head.

it might be a 5 inch tablet! or a 6 inch! or7!

it might be superthin!6mm!That'd make it breakable!

If the Droid 3 was like my D2G but 4G and a front facing camera, I would be extremely happy. I feel like my D2G is almost perfect. And to be honest, I really don't need the front facing camera or 4G.

I think there needs to be some choice in the Droid line-up and personally would like to stick with the 3.5"-3.7" screen form factor. It obviously needs to have a slide-out keyboard with ideally more tactile response. A 1.0 - 1.2 GHz processor (single-core is fine) and at least 512mb of RAM. 8MP camera with Dual LED flash (pretty standard now) and a 2MP camera up-front. A higher resolution and quality screen overall (LCD) is a must, as well as a massive battery (1800-2200mAh).

I think the Droid is already a great product as it stands, but improvements should be in the following categories:

- Speed (More RAM, faster single-core processor)
Since most smartphone software isn't great at utilizing multiple cores, the the single core processor should be faster and cheaper, as well as generate less heat and use less power.

- Screen (Upgrade to better LCD, closer to the glass)
A high resolution display can go a long way. Screen needs to stay in the same size-group of 3.5-3.7 inches. Form factor needs to be optimized to have less black-space around the edges.

- Battery Life (1800-2000 mAh)
A larger battery will go serious lengths with me. I need to be able to make it through the day without having to worry about going empty. Longer battery life alone may end up selling this thing for me.

My main preferences are 4" LCD, front facing cam, full qwerty, faster processor (no specifics, just faster), more RAM (just more), 1500+ mah battery is fine, HDMI out, Android 2.3, Gorilla glass (so under-rated!!), and a lollipop... ok, could do without that last one, but it'd be nice!! ;)

The specs you want sound like a mid range laptop.
1. My $500 laptop has only has a 4400 mAh battery and you want a 6k mAh battery.
2. I believe the reason why Moto included 1GB of RAM on the Atrix was because it needed that extra performance so it could use the laptop dock properly. I see 2GB of RAM on phones in maybe a year or 1.5 years.
3. Why 2 Tegra 2's when you can have that quad core beast NVIDIA showed off?
4. A 4.5 inch screen on a slider phone may be a bit big.
5. You're 100% right about the keyboard.
6. Getting optical zoom would mean that something would have to extrude from the phone which would undoubtedly increase the thickness of an already thick slider.
7. 5MP front facing is almost unheard of especially since some phone are still coming out with 5MP on the back.
8. Hdmi out on a high end smartphone is must these days.
9. Nothing to say.
10. LTE is a must.
11. The power draw on the phone from all your other components is going to be very demanding and strong wifi radio will only add to that.
12. "Beats" branded speakers will increase the price at least $100.
13. I don't even know what to say about 4 mics, a noise-cancelling mic and standard mic should be enough
14. Gorilla glass is great.
15. Pentaband GSM on a CDMA device? Maybe for global roaming.
16. Laptop dock costs more than my laptop.
17. Why not just have DLNA to the TV?
18. Maybe, could relate to Beats.
19. Why?
20. I believe they said Honeycomb was not made for phones, but why not try dual booting Android and Windows Phone 7?
21. No way this is happening with a 6000 mAh battery.

1Ghz dual core
keyboard
front facing camera
8mp rear cam that works better in low light
4G
;)8 hour battery life;)
hdmi out

bonus:
1G RAM

I just want an update on when this is being released? I am due to upgrade in August and hope this is available then.
