I have ever owned! WOW my hand is numb after playing a few rounds of Stupid Zombies! Need a case ASAP!!

Honestly, I don't feel like its too warm compared to other android handsets I've used. My OV got really hot after awhile of general use, and my buddies droid 2 gets pretty insanely hot after awhile.

Sportsinger is right, all phones get hot if their processor gets strained. The evo and ov both could get real hot. The use an apk like to bat stat, I mainly use it as battery percent monitor but I also keep my eye on the temp. If your triumph gets too hot, you should really just power it down and pull the battery to let it breathe. Oh yea, putting a case on your phone to the protect your hands from heat is... Umm, not a good idea. You'll destroy your phone or your battery if it gets that hot...

Amen to that. Cases protect your beloved phone, but can also do some serious damage if your phone gets too strained because the natural heat emission is somewhat hampered. If the phone gets too hot, just give it a break for a bit. The Triumph is in no way alone in this respect.

Mine does not get that hot even while playing games, maybe yours is defective. I have a rocketfish case on all the time, and the phone stays moderate to cool.

i was going to buy that Rocketfish buy $25 for that jello like case is a major rip off! I dont think its just need to let it cool down after using it for a while. It has been better since i installed SetCpu and underclocked it to 768mhz and i dont see much if any of a performance hit.

I've had a lot of phones through the years, and I've tried a lot of different cases, but I absolutely love the rocketfish cases. They're so much better than any other silicone or plastic cases, scratch resistant, smooth and shiny (looks like hard plastic but its not), doesn't gather dust or stretch out like silicone cases, easy to put in and pull out of your pocket, etc. I got my for 20 bucks, not the cheapest, but it will absolutely last me the life of the phone, look good the whole time, and not stretch out a bit.

While charging (car adapter) on a 90F+ day and using the GPS my MT actually overheated and shutdown. After the shutdown the screen displayed a battery symbol with a flashing thermometer overlay. While it is possible that the car adapter is to blame, I never have issues with my two other phones. I plan on returning this one as I fear that the battery or phone may have been damaged.

Anyone else experienced any extreme overheating resulting in a shutdown?

It is hot here as well. My MT stopped charging (moto charger) while using GPS twice today but has never outright powered off...yet. Back of the phone is very toasty when it will not charge. Under all other circumstances the MT does not get overly warm, just in heat and direct sunlight while using navigation. If I can't stop this thermal failure by my own devices though, I'm not sure if I will be keeping the MT.

Being that I'm dumping the battery as soon as an extended life battery comes out for it, which will have it's own custom battery door and case, I'd rather not drop $20+ on another case.
