The music player stops playing

[Android Central Question]

After updating my phone to android version 9 (Pie), my music files do not play fully. The music player stops playing and closes after a minutes and a half into the song.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which music app? Are the music files streaming from the web, or are they stored locally? If they're local, are they saved to Internal Storage or the SD card?
