I will DEFINITELY be getting this whenever it comes out. . . . . Check it out from CES 2012: The concept of G-SHOCK PHONE is 10 feet (3 meters) from the height of drop impact, 1 atm (10 meters), waterproof, and withstand one ton. Here is a link: New G-Shock Phone at CES 2012 | mygshock.com and some pics:

i would buy a simple gps unit like this. No cell needed. I hope they expand the gshock brand. I have always enjoyed The GGGGG guni..... I mean Gshock baby

That looks awesome!
The Commando was pretty cool, though the screen was a little small and not very sensitive.
I got callous on the tips of my fingers and it's a little more difficult for a screen to register my touch.

Setting up the Commando, for customers, would make my fingers start to cramp up from pressing so hard.

Do we have any idea when this awesome device might be available? I am due for an upgrade and had several Casio feature phones before I switched to a Blackberry 2 years ago. I am really thinking about getting a Commando now that the firmware has been updated to enable the PTT feature on Verizon, but if this is coming soon I would hold onto my upgrade for a bit. Thanks Guys!

The concept seems awesome! Wish they tried a bit harder to make it look more appealing. Any idea on when this will be available in the market to play with and feel before considering a purchase?

You play the guitar...banjo? I have similar issues due to callouses on my left hand.

This device looks promising...although with little to no specs, it's hard to tell. I am looking at a Casio Smartphone, and with only an 800 MHz processor, the Commando might not have the 'oomf' to run ICS. If not, I'll just wait as long as I can with my Palm Pre+, still chugging along after 2 years!

Wowwww !! I will buy the phone any day when it comes into the market. It is awesome & I have been waiting for such a phone for a very long time. I have had Samsung Marine in the past but that comes nowhere even an inch near this beauty.
