The Next Nexus 7: Buy it or pass?

The new Nexus 7 is thinner by 1.8mm, and narrower by 2.75mm on each side of the bezel. The New N7 is pack packing a Snapdragon S4 pro processor, 1920x1200(323ppi) display, 2gb ram, and android 4.3 jelly bean. somehow the capacity for the MAH of the battery didn't make the conference this year. i wonder why?. and don't give me non- of that "the average consumer don't know what to do with that information" BS. This is a Google product not an apple product.

It is there, the android central review has it listed, I think I remember 35-- or 33-- something like that, it would be sufficient.

Specs seem nice. The full HD display would definitely be welcomed, however, I'm happy with my N7. No complaints.

yeah, I am upgrading from my 2012 version. In regards to the battery life, I really don't care what the MAH is as long as they give a quoted battery life. They said it will last an hour longer than the current model, so that is good news.

No, it was quoted at 9 hours. This version is quoted at 10.

Well as a content creating youtuber I bought it by default.... So because of my beloved hobby I own the nexus 7 2013... I'm putting it threw it's paces so I'll have a review up on soon... In the mean time I put up a benchmark video of it if your interested. But if you want personal verdict... If you own the 2012 model... This is not worth money... If your the market for a tablet.. Then this is the tablet for you.

I wouldn't say that if you own the 2012 that you shouldn't consider it.

If you have no complaints about the 2012, then there is no reason to upgrade. Personally, mine was starting to lag a lot (especially compared to my Nexus 4) and I had a screen lift issue that was driving me nuts. Maybe 4.3 would have fixed my lag issues, but I still would have felt a performance difference compared to my phone. But the screen lift issue was like a splinter under my fingernail that had festered too long.

The build quality on the new nexus is awesome. It's very sleek. Thin. And just feels really good in the hands. The new display is also awesome and I'm getting amazing battery life. I just plugged it in to charge it had been on 58 hours with three hours of screen time. I think it's well worth it.

I would say it's a great buy if you have used a Nexus 7 before and you just want the higher specs and less lag than you experienced back on the 1st Gen.

However, if they haven't, I must say it really depends on how they take to the experience and how they like the aspect ratio and the feel of the device.

Ecosystem wise I think any ecosystem can sustain an audience these days, so to me it's a little like a non-issue.
