Nope, I don't see any easy way to go back to KK. OK, let me try to patch the POS up a tiny bit with your other suggestion.

Google the "Nexus Root Toolkit". It will let you switch to any build your Nexus model has ever supported, from 4.3.x on.

No issues at all with 5.1.1, I OTA'd it last week and everything is great. Every Lollipop release has worked better than the previous one for me.

Same for me. Runs fast and smooth.

New image for the WiFi up on the official site LMY48M. I just now flashed it and re-rooted, no problem yet. If you've got the LTE version, LMY48P is up there for you - the same update, according to droid-life .

All under-the-hood stuff, apparently - minor bug fixes and "security enhancement," the changelog says. It seems this is the first of Google's promised monthly updates.
