Has anyone else noticed after the 902 update that we are experiencing a load more bloatware? There is like 7 NEW apps that I can't get rid of! Mog music for instance... I go into my app drawer and see something new every day it feels like!

Anyone else? Maybe I am the lucky one with extra apps!

Okay, second count says it is 4 new things... but one of those 4 is emergency alerts and that one is welcomed in my eyes.

Of course there's more bloatware, what else would you expect from Verizon??? Learn to root my son, its the only way =D

It's pretty much one of the sad parts of Android that we have to live with. The open nature of Android means that it can be hacked and modded into whatever the carriers want it to be. In this case, it's the part where they can force in bloatware.

Thankfully we have smart people around who always want to find a way to get root. Root is the control over your device that you always wanted in the first place.

Another way to look at bloatware is that it is a way for carriers to keep the prices of devices lower, as the app makers on the phone have paid some figure per handset to be put on the phone.
