The Offical I'm Bored of ICS, I want Jelly Bean!

You will get it soon, it will come in many interesting flavors, one for each of the different android phones, then we can debate who will get: Vomit, Mud, Ear wax, Dirt, Booger, Barf, Canned dog food and many other interesting renditions :)

Is there any way to root the Rezound running ICS? Can't find a guide anywhere. Also, is there any stable Jelly Beam ROMs out for the Rezound?

The guide is the same as it was for Gingerbread. Mr. Smith has a guide in the development section. Basically, go to HTC dev, follow directions there to unlock, flash custom recovery, flash rom. There are some more steps, but that is the jist of it.

No jelly bean probably until we get the source code for ICS, so from now, until a couple months from now.

To quote a movie I like from the 80s, I will get all the sleep I need when I am dead.... My second job isn't liking that I stayed up all night though....oh well...

Is your second job being an Air Traffic Controller at Reagan International by any chance?

I noticed in HTC first claimed that the one series I think we'll get jelly bean. Does their lack of other devices mean they won't update the rezound.

Don't hold your breath to long. B lucky u got ics. After all the headache vzw had to do get ics on the rezound I don't see jellybean coming to you guys. Most factory phones usually manage one major update that's it after that they move on.

I thought I saw chad on his kernel thread say that JB is an easy upgrade, just drop some drivers in the right spot and your good to go. If that is the case, we should get it.

I don't think the upgrade was a headache for verizon, they had a timetable with the razr, and that's what they followed. It just wasn't fast enough for some people.

What you guys do not have JB flashed yet? The leak was out a week ago....no reason to complain if you won't do it yourselves

Where do I find the file at.L.O.L

I would agree if jb was a big update, but outside of butter it isn't

Jelly bean came out about what seven months after the rezound was released. So going off the 18 month update guideline I would say that their is no reason why should not get jelly bean. I think we could get key lime pie kandy kane which might be launched by the.end of this year if you follow the jelly bean hidden pic by hitting android version number you will see a kandy Kane in the pic..... So maybe key lime pie might also be kandy Kane for a Dec 25 launch.

With all due respect, until you actually run jb on your phone you have no true feel for how much better it is than ICS. The smoothness (butter) extends to every aspect of what happens on the phone. Its simply awesome. Google now and the other new stuff is cool, and adds nice new features, but the butter is simply the best thing that android has done with the os. Period.

But ICS is nice too. :D The Rezound would be awesome with jb. I actually think it will see jb by sometime q1 next year. I'm thinking Google will update as many of the top tier devices it can to jb before releasing the next version of the os next summer like they did with jb. That's what I would do if it were up to me. But alas, its not. ;)

Google Now. Google Voice Search. Interactive notifications (two finger gestures allow you to expand and contract and instantly reply to notifications). Smart placement and resizing of widgets done by the os when adding them to your screens. Some other stuff I can't think of now. None of it is special alone, but when combined with the overall polish and smoothness of the os it all just feels pretty amazing.
