The official HTC One X bugs thread

Another bug to report.
Yesterday my phone started showing the preparing sim notification but just once that I noticed.
Today it keeps happening every few mins. I rebooted the phone and it leaves another notification that a different sim has been inserted.
I have full service so I can't figure out what's going on.
I ejected the sim, gave it a wipe and nothing since.
Weird.

I must say, I'm not finding any glitches or bugs with my One X...I bought it on the day of release here in the UK from Vodafone, and it has version 1.26 of the software. I don't know if my device suffers with the draining battery usage like the others do (I have nothing to compare it to), but it seems reasonable to me. Have been using it nearly all morning and it's only on 89%. Buggy or not, it's still better than the battery on my HTC Desire HD. If the new update gives me more battery, then this phone will be perfect, because it's almost there now. I use my phone as a music/podcast player all day at work, and on any given day I have media playing for about 8 hours, and yet it drains about 20 to 30% of the battery over the course of the 8 hours. Seems good to me. Desire HD drained over 50%.

In regards to these physical problems people moan about (pushing the screen, resulting in pixelation), I can't see why it's a problem. I tried it and had to press really hard to get any problem...which begs the question: Why do people feel the need to press so hard on the edges of the screen? Nobody ever does that day to day. I tried it just to see and had to really try to see any problem. Anyway, that's off topic, I apologise. Was just annoying me with people being so picky.

Look forward to the update, to see if my good battery is even better.

Have the One X (v1.26 software) and have experienced a few issues. Not sure if they are ICS, HTC or unique to the phone.

Music skipping is my main one. Both in Spotify and Napster. Occurs with streaming and tracks which have been downloaded to the device. Tracks in stock music player don't appear to have the same issues. As others have mentioned, music can stop for no reason, e.g. when replying to a text message.

I previously switched on device encryption and that meant Bluetooth wouldn't activate. Had to do a factory reset to switch encryption off.

Apart from that, loving the phone so far. Sound and screen are fantastic. Keen to see what devs can do with the quad core.

I've just got a 1X and the issue I have is sound related. In Spotify (and occasionally in the standard music player), there is an audible glitch (usually occurs once per track). This is a big issue for me as I use my phone as a music player and have Spotify Premium. Have upgraded from a Desire where this wasn't an issue.......

Phone had a major crash and chopped 30% off the battery in one hit. The phone reported an error and sent it to HTC. Please send me update.

Your graphic shows 6 hours of usage. I don't see sudden any 30% drop in there.

Look at the beginning.
It went from 100% to under 70% in one crash. Not gradually down but a drop.
That happened about 10 mins after pulling the charger after a full night charge. Note its starting at under 70%??

My phone is going back to the shop.
Crashed and down to 69% in the 7 mins it was off the charger.
Pathetic thing.

My 1.26 international version just had a weird infarction where I could not pull up the ring to unlock the phone.
It would wiggle up a quarter inch and go no further. I had to reboot the phone. Upon rebooting I saw that k9 was 50% of the battery useage. Its normally 2%.

First and only time I've seen this.

I purchased from Daily Steals, and was immediately notified of a software update before I even put my SIM in. I updated to 1.28 before even using it, and haven't had any issues. My battery life was phenomenal on my first day, getting 1 day, 7 hours with 10% leftover before charging. seriously.

Widgets menu keeps making my phone freeze-up when I scroll too fast (need to go really slowly and even then). Have to restart the phone everytime =s Quite annoying, but so far, my only complaint.

I have Build 1.73 (Rogers Canada)

Close Focus Problems?

My camera can't focus anywhere near as close as the Nexus One could.

This presents a problem for things like Bar Code Scanning, because its difficult to get the proper distance.

Red Laser works better than BarCode Scanner, but both are a tad problematic. Even Goggles has problems.

The Camera app itself seems to do better.

I have the same problem :(
