Ok, had my phone since the launch last week and I'm loving it!! No complaints (other than the first one I got was a defective one, but no trouble at all after I got it exchanged).

What was wrong with it?

If you go into Settings under Language and Input, you can change the default keyboard from Samsung Keyboard to Swype Keyboard. I prefer Swype by a large margin, and you do not have to buy it.

Swipe keyboard? I couldn't find it in my stock keyboard app so I purchased Swype. Am I missing something?

coming from a 5s I love this phone and this might sound stupid but I can finally use stock keyboard and have auto correct and emoji damn I'm a happy man lol

I really don't think so as it is included with the device, at least on Sprint. I used it on my S3 for the life of that phone without paying. At no point in the activation process on my S5 did it say it was in a trial period.

Swype didn't come in my s5. I'm in Canada so maybe that's why. But the stock keyboard has swipe functionality. I just wish I can change the colour.

I'm off ios for the first time and it's also my first time on Android.I have to say I love it! I'm never going back to ios. I have had no problems at all with this phone. I love the s case too.the screen is better than iPhone. Camera it's not as stellar but good in well lit areas.

Same here, been with iPhone since 3G (about 5 years) and finally decided to make the switch to Android and went with the S5. Only had one issue which was the UHD video setting was playing back at half speed, I tried messing with all the settings but it just wouldn't function properly. I was going to exchange it after work today but decided to do a factory reset and that resolved the problem. Luckily I've only had the phone for about 5 days so I didn't have to reinstall a ton of stuff. So far I'm liking it alot, especially all the customization you can do with it unlike the iPhone.

I like that they did add a new 3.0 USB for faster data transfers (I read this, haven't tried it yet), but you can use the micro 2.0 USB that is available anywhere and I have plenty of because I needed to charge my last phone a lot.

I also love that the video downloads are faster. I bought some digital TV shows off Google Play (tired of all the DVD's, but I think I still prefer them). Yesterday I decided to download an episode so I could watch it offline (no wifi or data connection there) and it downloaded so much faster then my Droid 4. I checked 20 minutes later and it was downloaded! My D4 took up to an hour. This is for a 40 minute TV show (an hour long one on regular tv with commercials).

Any one concerned bout galaxy prime release? Samsung is going to demote S5 indirectly. After stuck with 2 years with galaxy nexus junk, i am little concerned about staying with

So far this is only a rumor and we'll have to wait to see if it turns out to be true. I'd be surprised if it was though just because Samsung would have to know that they would seriously upset customers who just purchased the S5. If it does turn out to be true then you can bet with the metal body and new display it is going to cost quite a bit more as well. I'm happy with my S5 though and would purchase it again.

I LOVE LOVE mine!!! I came from the S5 and to me it is a big difference. It is smooth, camera is faster and so much better. I like the fact you can touch the screen to take a picture. I love the fact when talking on the phone I can actually hear the person. It is much brighter in the sun. I can actually read it. Sound is louder which is better for me. I use TouchPal X keyboard which is awesome so that makes it even better.

What I don't like is the messenger because it limits the text.... unless I don't have the settings right but It will only let me text so many characters. I downloaded Go SMS and that even runs much better on this phone. I dont like the "tab" where you plug the phone in, I have a hard time getting it open. Other than that.. the phone is perfect.

OH using google voice for voice mail, I like how it does when you go to listen to the message. Didn't do that for me on the S4. Needless to say I am very happy with getting this phone.

It really does seem like a jerk move to come out with a S5 Prime. I don't care about the metal body cause duh, I use a plastic case but a better display? Maybe a better processor? *Grinds teeth*

If it's still rumored, no sense in worrying about it, since rumors change from day to day and article to article. I saw something that compared the S5 to the iphone 6. Really? They were just guessing what the i6 could be and who knows.
ETA: Any phone that comes after the S5 will probably be better, due to technology increasing and software programers working. So I can see the i6 being better then the S5, but until then the S5, I feel, is better then the 5S--okay I only used coworkers 5S' but I don't get iphones... can use them, but just don't get them...

It's not a rumor. The pricing has already appeared in a Hong Kong database. 3GB of RAM and a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display. Snapdragon 805 processor instead of the Octa-Core Exynos 5430. Android 4.4.3 KitKat.
