Helping people in need...
Even though my 16 year old son is disabled, tonight I got to meet a family that has been thru some really tough times in dealing with their daughters illness. She was diagnosed with infantile ALL (Acute lymphoma Leukemia). There were riders from 3-4 counties that showed up. Businesses donated all kinds of items to be auctioned off, everything from a couple of rifles, to a free dental exam and cleaning. In all honesty some of the items sold at the auction went for 3-4 times their retail price.
Things like this kinda restore your faith in your fellow man, when you see so many people pulling together willingly to do whatever they can to help.
I just received a text from one of the guys I was riding with that over 20,000.00 was raised today.
