Weird.....I just got off the phone with my local BB (again) and was re-assured that I would have the phone Monday! I don't know what to think anymore......

Unleash your fury on Best Buy...call them, dominate their customer service, crowd their in boxes. We shall all take out our frustrations on Best Buy....just for giggles and to keep us busy until the Bolt comes out! Just kidding, that would be not be very responsible or civic minded....

Like I said before, with all the information that we've been seeing everyday, it's hard to know what's real or not. I think somethings are just a coincidence.

Like that Amazon listing that was pulled that had a release date of Feb. 14. Maybe they weren't supposed to put up a date in the first place.

Then comes the news about the Feb. 14th launch date being pushed back to a later unannounced date. That information could be false or could be old, who knows.

Then the Wirefly unboxing/review video comes out. How did they get they phone if it was being pushed back? If Skype is the cause of the problem, maybe they're (Verizon/HTC) working on a patch for the time of launch that either fixes it or blocks it - and are just putting a 'maybe it'll come out on the 14th*** but it might not' note on it until they have a patch ready for launch.

There are so many ???s with this phone, and Verizon is just sitting there. Please just let us know something, give us something to hold us over for the time being.

Just my opinion.

I have called the 5 Bestbuy stores in the Omaha, Neb. Council Bluffs, IA, and Lincoln, Neb. area, and all say the 14th is when the phone will be ready to pick up if you preordered.

5 Stores all the same info in a 45 mile radius. I swear every Iphone i see someone holding I will refuse to acknowledge their pretentious ignorant ways. AHHH d*mn you Steve Jobs.

It is great to see someone else interested in my area. :) Think I may have found a new friend. :p

It just makes sense to NOT hype the new 4G with the i Phlop hovering around.....i feel this is totally orchestrated....no info on release then BOOM! just drop it......I Crap is their focus right now....plain and simple. I still feel its going to be Monday.....but we will see.

And yes the reason they pulled the Amazon ad is because they DO NOT want the communication out there less than a week from the launch of I ******(i dont ******). IMO but as with all.....Time Will Tell my friends......

I need to take a Tylenol for all the headaches caused by the Thunderbolt debacle... I just want to get away from AT&t already!

AT&T is probably thinking this is the first piece of good news they had in months...

I wonder if BB mobile would call those people who pre-ordered to inform them that the pick-up date (if it does) has changed...

FWIW, I stopped by the VZW next to my office yesterday evening just for S&G. I told them I wanted to preorder the Thunderbolt that some friends told me they had put on order on Sunday. They told me that the preorders were at BB only. I told them i would just go there (The rep i use knows my number by heart because I buy ALOT of phones). She stopped me and pulled up my account. She said that the bolt would be out before my upgrade date (First of next month). I told her i was looking to pay full price because my phone was giving up on me (Eris).
She said that their Info had the phone to be for sale on 2/17. I asked them if it would be extra monthly for the 4G data plan. She and her manager told me implicitly that it would not cost extra at this time. They both explained that since the market was small at this time, they were told the price plan would be the same as 3G. When more markets become available, prices were subject to change. Of course, we will be locked in at the current price plan.
It may all be a sales job, but I'm crossing my fingers... Of course that was yesterday before the "delay".

Alriggt I'm here at work. Not only did tgey tell me its available the 14th. They showed me the screen that shows the release date. So idk what to think.

I know I sound sketchy. I don't work in mobile so I can't pull it up my own. Sorry.

Dear Customers of Best Buy,

Recently we have been taking pre-orders for the HTC Thunderbolt from Verizon. Verizon owed us one and we are happy to have people in our store because that is how we roll! It has come to our recent attention that we told you that the 14th of February you would have your delicious new slice of Android pie...but it is now rumored that we will only be able to actually deliver the phone to you when Verizon tells us it is OK. We are very sorry. Please self select the apology that suits you best and know that we are still your Best Buy.... and Rock On!

Respectfully, Best Buy Management

10. Our Bad

9. Verizon is very rarely wrong on these things...

8. (Pee Wee Herman Voice)...I am sorry, I am so sorry, I am sorry....HA HA, I am not sorry I took the money.....just kidding, I am sorry!

7. It is a phone, nobody died! When I was your age we had one rotary phone in the whole house and we did just fine!

6. You could double down and pre-pay for the New X-Box game due out next Christmas

5. The money you have pre-paid with is not actually still in the store....we never keep more than 20 dollars in our cash registers...sorry!

4. 90% of emplyees are males between the ages of 18 and 27 who stay after work so they can play video games and Rock Band...please be advised, they do not speak for our whole company.

3. To the guy in Texas who pre-ordered a Bolt and has an auto dialer and has flooded our national phone center with automated calls asking our customer service representatives to take a 40 minute survey from corporate while they are still on the clock....we are really sorry!

2. How do you think we feel? Those Verizon guys kept chuckling and giggling and saying "Oh sure.... you can have the exclusive rights"

and our # 1 apology:

1. We will gladly exchange your pre-order with an iphone from AT&T.

Was it a Communication or an inventory system? Communication is old/outdated. Inventory system is more intriguing.

Hey everyone,

So I just got home from the BB in San Francisco...I had already pre-ordered on sunday and went back to ask about the possible delay.

On sunday, the BB Mobile regional manager assured me that my phone would be ready to pick up on the 14th and that 4G unlimited data would be 29.99.

Today, however, I asked him about any possible delays as I've been hearing about it online. He smirked and said that there is def something fishy going on at vzw.

He said that they were scheduled to received 35 Thunderbolts at the store on Saturday night. However, this morning an exception was placed on that delivery. No one knows what that exception is...but he theorizes that its just a short delay to the 17th.

He also says that "there is no way in hell" Verizon won't sell its first 4g phone on launch day.

Please please take all of this information with a huge grain of salt as this is just one talkative employee (albeit he is a regional manager), and that I'm pretty sure no one at BB knows what the hell is going on.
