I have the iPhone 4 and it really is a great device and when jailbroken you can do a ton of customizing to it...I'm just tired of the OS after 3 years, so I'm going to try out the thunderbolt and give the android OS a spin. I will prob pickup an iPad 2 when it comes out so I get the best of both worlds...an android and iOS device.

I thought Verizon was changing their return policy to 14 days? Hence why the Thunderbolt wont be released until later this month, it will be out of the return window for early adopters of the iPhone

Actually, best buy would go out on a limb they have done it before with intel processors and amd. They would take a 25 thousand dollar hit to sell the phone early, and gain millions of dollars by the phones and accessories so its like chump change after the sales of the phone. so they pay their fines and still have a huge headstart on sales and profit because they were the only stores to sell it.

of course, though, you would have absolutely no problem selling the iphone on ebay or craigslist and that would pretty much cover the cost of a TBolt

Verizon is 14 days, purchased thru Best Buy is 30 days. I purchased my Fascinate on January 16th at BB. They told me I had 30 days to return it. My wife and I both have our preorders for the T-Bolt hoping for the 14th. If its later than the 16th I guess I'll have to go talk to the manager and see what he can do.

You know, it really doesn't matter that much when the T-Bolt comes out, when peoples phone contracts are up and what BB says. We are all ready to latch on to the Bolt....it will come when it comes. I will you tell though that it really does appear that the iphone launch has hijacked our android sweetness. Today is the official day...the iphone is here! I think other posters have it right when they say that Verizon just does not want to screw up the iphone launch and screw up the T-Bolt launch (my original thoughts but I convinced myself of the 14th)...better to spread them out. If the 14th happens my friends we will know in the next day or two...after that it will be a waiting game for sure.

So WTH do you call a billion dollar corp a.k.a Best freaking Buy launching a damn pre-order and telling all 2/14 and then amazon accidentally saying the same date! I call that an announced date that they just couldn't meet!

Yeah, but I'm curious as to what could have been "half baked" on the TBolt. I've only seen him say good things about it in the past. And since the Skype update is apparently coming after the TBolt launch (hopefully it'll be out by 2/28...), I don't know what else it could be.
