Yeah I expressed how BS it is. In the **** with my girlfriend for it because its "her friends" who looked like muppets on stage and complaining.
To be honest I don't understand why they view a "truck" is bad when they live in a vineyard area -_- its good because her parents are pretty down to earth with what they buy for what they have.
Like my oldest brother says "just because you have the means you don't have to buy it, I could buy a lamborghini but the cost is i wouldn't have a home and probably not one for a long time (with a big arse loan to repay)"

Great pet peeve; people who spend money on things they don't need, then complain that they can't get by day to day. Um I'm pretty sure that Netflix account is not putting food on your table and the HBO subscription isn't putting gas in your car.

And people who do nothing for themselves, then expect you to drop everything because they have a deadline.

My post was confusing. I do hate people who try to live way above their means but my comment on the family being down to earth was more of a compliment to their parents who could easily afford a nice vehicle but choose to spend it otherwise - probably how they got well off saving smartly.

By the time I was 20, I was married for 5 years. Now it's 41 and we both are wondering where the last 40 years went. Time speeds up as you get older, it's scientifically proven. At least the appearance of time speeding up anyway. It sucks.

Needless to say, I don't recommend it. There were some very rough times financially, but personally we were/are both totally committed. He is a very patient and tolerant man. I definitely got the better end of the deal.
