The PEEVES you PET

Re: Pet Peeves of the AC

People who drive in a lane that is ending without merging, and then force them selves into your lane so it's either be hit, or slam on your breaks and hope to god you don't get rear ended.

If I'm by myself in the car, I will never adjust my course or speed for these people. If my daughters are in the car I get out of the way.

My husband will stay in his lane no matter what. Kid and dog in the car or not. It scares the living crap out of me. He gets mad because I will reach over and honk the horn. I can't make him move, but I can warn them that he won't be moving. So many times the have gotten so close I swear we were going to wreck.

Sorry about that. :D

Re: Pet Peeves of the AC

Why does Dodge have a ram as their logo? Isn't that stupid? Oxymoronic? And to name their truck an oxymoron? How can you dodge and ram at the same time? Seriously?

?? I think signatures are stupid.

Technically, they're two separate companies; the RAM brand is strictly trucks.

EDIT: But my peeve is when two or more people, or a family with strollers, walk throughout malls or grocery stores in nine foot wide impassible walls and are oblivious to the traffic jam of pedestrians they've created behind them.

Also, as a bartender, when someone asks what they can get for a small, specified amount of money; I bite my tongue thinking, "If you can't afford a tip, you can't afford to be out."

Re: Pet Peeves of the AC

Hmm, but their Ram logo is on their cars too, usually at least on the steering wheel, if not up in front.

The older ones, not new. After that financial crisis and the bailouts and whatnot, Dodge was technically separated from RAM as the companies were reorganized. Though I still laughed at your bit about dodging or ramming haha.

Lol, thanks for the correction though. :D

We have 3-4 members that are literally choking the lighthearted atmosphere, information transfer and support functions the forums with nothing but negativity and attack tactics to feed their egos. We all see them in thread after thread, getting redirected by mods and having members beg them to drop the attitude. Think I'm going to bow out of forums, or at least take a break, because despite the 2-3 awesome days of great fun, learning and general awesomeness, there are still 4-5 days where one's soul gets stomped on for trying to engage in conversation in any way that disagrees with the status quo of which phone and/or phone feature gods should be worshiped and the specifics of punishment and ridicule for blasphemy against their almighty personal opinions.

But if more people buy the phone I have, I am more powerful than you are; you are a peasant beneath my feet!

Now, bow before me as there is no such thing as freedom of choice or personal preference! There is only my way, and I know better than you, again, because more people bought the same phone as me.

Please do NOT bow out.
These forums are much more valuable with you here. It would be a huge loss, I'm sure most everybody would agree.

I second this. Not a bar tender, but I used to waitress at applebees. So many times a couple would come in with $25, and order the 2 for $20 and a drink each. Leaving them with just enough to cover tax, and no tip. Or they would come in on the weekend when appetizers were half off and order like, 5 baskets of boneless wings and some waters for their whole family, and wouldn't tip.

Close one thread, and they pick up where they left off in another.

When people call the wrong number at 0130 and dont have the decency to say sorry, but instead, hang up on you.

Yeah,
the strollers and shopping carts.
No, don't worry if anyone needs to get past you. You were there first.
I would guess these are the same people driving side by side down the freeway.

Re: Pet Peeves of the AC

When people ask if they can pet my dog, and I say no, they ask me why. Lets see...
1. He's still in training.
2. He is still new to us and we aren't yet comfortable with his reactions to new situations.
3. Because he's my dog and I said so.

Gr. Sorry for the mini rant :p
