The phone Icon has disappear from my icons screens and from the apps list in my Nexus 5, how can I get it back?

The phone Icon has disappear from my icons screens and from the apps list in my Nexus 5

How could I retrieve it or re install it in my Nexus 5 ? Is it available in the play store ?

Welcome to Android Central! Is it gone from the App Drawer only, or also from the Settings>Apps>All list? The Phone app can't be disabled, so that isn't the issue. Is the phone rooted? Does a reboot help?

B. Diddy, I notice the above message was tagged with a star and Best Answer. I have gotten a few of those and was wondering how that process came about. Does someone read all these and that make a decision?

In a thread that is designated as a Q&A, Best Answer can be selected by any of the Ambassadors or Moderators. It can always be changed if a better answer comes along. To be honest, I can't remember if regular members can also designate a Best Answer--let me find out.

EDIT: Checked--it's only for those with certain Moderator privileges.
