The "Your Devices" page of "My Activity" in Google

[Android Central Question]

My device is a samsung. Why does the "Your Devices" page of "My Activity" on my Google account show that I was using my phone 8 minutes ago if I wasn't?. I was going to add a snip it, i dont know how else to explain it but it will say

even though i havent used my phone in hours and have no apps running in the background

Welcome to Android Central! Remember that your phone may still periodically ping your Google account (typically to refresh data related to your Google account), so even if you weren't actively using your phone, it may still show up in your Google activity.

Like mentioned apps and application work in the background and show up in Google activity , as long as your not having issues nothing to worry about.
