The only thing I can think of that Verizon would be fixing with regards to the bloatware is the data usage. A lot of the bloatware now, by default, syncs up using the data network. Since going to a tiered data pricing they are going to have to correct this and disable all that or remove that bloatware. They'll be hit with a massive lawsuit from new users in the event that the bloatware just locks up and keeps the data connection open and burns right through their data plan. And since there is no way for the consumer to remove the bloat to avoid that problem, Verizon needs to fix it.

Excellent point. I wonder if VZW has done any risk assessment on this. They have contracts and i am sure earn revenue by putting the bloat on. So now with tiered rates they very well could be open to lawsuits if the bloat uses data and is not removable by the user.
