Now, don't get sassy. If you know OLED, you'd know that color shifting is a trait of OLED and every panel will have this phenomenon, of varying levels.
But because the Pixel 2 XL got everyone noticing, I thought I'd just let everyone know.
Does the S9's display shift color? Yes. How significantly? Depends on the unit but I've tried every one on the show floor and none shifted as badly to the point where it's annoying, and certainly not nearly as bad as the worst P2XL unit I've used shown below.

Now let's just rest on this, okay? All OLEDs shift color at certain angles. Hell, my Note shifts red at the same angles. Unless it's really bad, it's not really indicative of a defect and if you stopped noticing or are okay with it, that's fine.
