The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has been announced...

Re: Samsung is so lost right now.

Wow. I am shocked that this is what Samsung released. No snapdragon 801, 720 screen, FEABLE battery, no expandable storage. They must have thought all they needed to do is release a phone with metal and everything would work out?

Samsung's mobile division is in serious need if a shakeup. What is the point of this phone?

According to Anandtech, US version comes with S801.

If they do something similar with the Note 4, I would expect rioting in the streets.

I'm having some posting issues, so if this triple-replies my apologies....

Not sure if I'm off here but this looks more like a MotoX\iPhone competitor. Surprised it's not drawing more comparisons to the MotoX with the same size screen\exterior dimensions\720P screen\chipset, etc... rather than comparing to the monster sized, all-out spec flagships that are now the rage. Also contrary to a lot of Android diehards this might bring me over to the Android camp with it's good balance of size, performance and build. I liked the MotoX a lot but not thrilled with Motorola being sold to the Chinese. The current flagships are just too big, well, too tall. I don't mind a wide phone but those things are getting ridiculously tall..

I think this is more a result of Samsung flagship getting compared to another Samsung flagship.
