Man, after all these months (10) I didn't know until today that the built-in standard Sense keyboard was a swipe-like keyboard. If you just press and slide your finger around it will print whatever letter you stop on.

Yeah, yeah, I'm slow that way I guess. Took me long enough to figure this out :D

Doesn't work for me at all. When I slide my finger around, it just gets all confused. I used Swype for a little while and it definitely isn't like swype.

The swipe HTC keyboard came with the upgrade to gingerbread/sense 2.1.

I have the upgrade and no OEM Swype-like keyboard...

Do you mean like actual Swype or just where a preview of the letter that you're on pops up when you're sliding around?

Yes, a preview of the letter as you're sliding around, then when you leggo, it prints it into the field.

Trying to do it but cannot

Menu, settings, language and keyboard, touch input, trace keyboard...

Or something like that....this might be a feature from sense 3.0...I thought it was from sense 2.1, but then again I've never used 2.1

That is the way to turn it on for sure.. It is on the factory os. Pretty sure Frank is an anti-rooter so no sense 3.0.
