The switch from Dalvik to ART error; I need help! Please!

Yes I messed up. Clearly. I just started learning about roots, etc. Heck I just found out you could root and customize a phone last week. I leaped before I looked I guess and I decided to switch from Delvik to ART. I thought what harm could it do? It looked so simple. Hell no. It starts out updating apps... then on my home screen it posts Internal storage is running out, the application has been stopped. Please free up some space and try again. My choices are : Free Space / OK ; I can press either one over and over again and it just keeps repeating; the same thing keeps popping up over and over again. I cant even get to my home screen because of this! Everything is backed up so im not worried about losing any data but now im worried about losing my phone. What should I do? Ive already taken battery out, etc. It still persists. Phone Model is Mijue M680.

Welcome to Android Central, Kelly!

Are you able to switch back to Dalvik? What about a factory reset? You already don't have access to the device, so a reset won't matter much as this point. But if you do have access, then I would suggest saving as much data as possible. Let us know how that goes.

Thank you for your help! I wound up just factory data resetting my phone. Works like new again. Thank goodness for data backup lol

Hi Kelly,

I was wondering how you managed to factory reset your device. I'm having the same issue as you are, and it's driving me nuts. I can't reboot the device because it's covered by the "Internal storage is running out...." dialog box and it's driving me mad. How did you manage to factory reset your device? Thanks!
